Who we are
The Association exists as a forum for discussion, the exchange of ideas, and the facilitation of networking opportunities, co‑operation, and participation in joint activities.
Each year, the BLA holds an informal and friendly conference hosted by a different member institution. The conference includes keynote speakers, presentations by members and suppliers, and a range of evening leisure activities. A new theme is adopted annually and explored throughout the event. Members can visit the conference archive in the BLA Members’ login area to view presentation slides.
How we operate
The Association is run by an elected committee drawn from the membership. The committee is responsible for organising BLA events and facilitating communication and information sharing among members. It meets regularly to discuss and progress projects, initiatives, surveys, and reports that benefit the membership. For more details, please refer to the Association’s constitution.
